One-on-One OT For Children

Fun, Supportive Therapy Sessions

At our clinics, we provide individualized, one-on-one Occupational Therapy designed to support your child’s unique developmental journey. Each session takes place in a fun, safe, and engaging space filled with tools and equipment that help children move, explore, and feel comfortable engaging, connecting and sharing with us.

Session Timing and Structure

Our in-clinic sessions are 50 minutes of direct service time, with 5-10 of those minutes usually reserved for parent feedback and support. An additional billable 10 minutes is indirect time for the therapist to prepare, clean and document between clients.

What Makes Our Clinics Special?

Every one of our therapy spaces is thoughtfully designed to support sensory integration, motor planning, emotional regulation, psychotherapy and play-based learning.

Our Clinics Feature:

✓ Sensory supports like lycra swings, crash pads, weighted items, and tactile play tools for supporting regulation so that children can explore tough topics with us
✓ Mats and suspended equipment for movement, engagement and core strength
✓ Comfortable seating for parents as we believe parents are important team members to include in most children’s therapy
✓ Engaging materials to keep learning fun

Why Kids Love Our Sessions

We’ve learned that the best way for kids to make progress and learn is for their sensory systems to be nourished and their connections to be strong, allowing them to participate in just the right challenges.

When children feel safe, supported, and excited, they’re more motivated to try new ideas, overcome challenges, and build confidence. Your child will be counting down the days until their next appointment.

What Happens in a 1:1 Session?

Your Occupational Therapist is constantly assessing and adapting sessions based on the child’s strengths, challenges, and goals.

  • Emotional regulation – managing big emotions, calming strategies
  • Sensory processing – sensory understanding, responding to sound, touch, or movement
  • Fine motor skills – handwriting, dressing, using utensils
  • Executive function skills – organization, planning, attention
  • Play skills – turn-taking, pretend play, constructive play
  • Social interaction – listening, problem-solving, conversation skills
  • Life skills – washing hands, tying shoelaces, following routines

Our therapists use playful, purposeful activities to build real-world skills in a child-led, neurodiverse-affirming manner with parents as a collaborator. Just as your child is always changing and growing, your therapy program will change, grow and adapt with your collaboration.

Parent Partnership

We work closely with families, inviting them into sessions, and offering regular updates, coaching, and strategies you can use at home. Up until adolescence, we encourage parents to attend sessions. We also include a parent consult where the child is not present in our packages as an opportunity for open and honest discussion. We’re here to be part of your team—every step of the way.

We offer in-clinic services at multiple locations, each designed with care to make your child feel welcomed and empowered.
